NSD - New Skid Day!

Finally got the skid I ordered from the Power Wash Store.  It's got a dual pump versajet system with the Proportioner. A 5.5gpm, 4000psi Water Dragon.  I also have a 19" whisper wash classic.  I went with the 50 gallon tanks primarily to save the weight on the 1/2 ton truck (The skid with empty tanks weighs about 900lbs). This should give me a most everything I need to get started.  Now...to go find some jobs! :)

Way ahead of the game buddy... That is a sweet setup and it has a proportioner! K-7 is a upgrade for the washer I agree. Hit it full steam, always keep growing and thinking.

Nice rig! Now...

Go get work! You can sell the coolness factor out of your system! You are going to love it even more when it begins to line your pocket.

Just a suggestion that we have found closes many of our sales calls:

I involve the customers in a walk around of our truck, now sporting a dirty Pro Portioner! due to an awesome 2 weeks with it.

I like to invite them into our office, which is the back of our truck where we show a before and after picture of a roof softwashed.

"See Mr./Mrs Homeowner, this is what your roof will look like the day we are done cleaning it."

This is how we do it:

Do some demos. I like to tell my customers I am from Misssouri, the show me state, ( actually I am an imported Okie now in PA... but close enough to MO.)-- So then we do a small area to demonstrate how the process works.

They will love it. I have actually had them help me drag the hose up around their house so we can shoot the demos.

Relax, listen to what the customer's concerns are and then assure them you are the company to hire to restore their home's beauty and protect their investment.

Have some fun. You got the coolest system in your market! Show it off.

On a positive note:

If you have never done this business by batch mixing, this may not resonate with you, but the Pro Portioner is the best thing you have on that skid!

We are doing so much more work not having to Batch mix it is hard to believe.

You will be surprised even with a 12v system & the Pro Portioner, you can cover a lot of roof and house siding so much faster. This week, we were comparing our "Ray Booster" against a 12v. Even though the booster screams at roofs, with the 12v we shot 4000 square feet of Pavillion Roof in 13 mins. (That included taking time to video tape Tony being trained on the new system and dumbing around talking about how cool no batching is)

You will be very happy with the performance.

Awesome Bryan.....Glad it finally came in and you can now get to work!
Since learning the Fatboy pump was the reason for the faltering of our ProPortioner system I can say you're going to love it! You will never know how much because you've never made a mix but I can tell you it saves a ton of time!

How was the fatboy the reason your proportioner didn't work?

I thought it worked with all 12 volt pumps?

Here my opinion on the Fat Boy issue. If there's to much flow going threw the pump it will stall. The water needs to be turned down some and the pump will work just fine. This is one of the reasons they want you to use 1/2" line.

I think it was the particular pump Doug was using. From what I recall, he replaced the pump and it worked. PWS won't sell the Fat Boy anymore though...mine came with dual Versa Jets.

So...here's a thing that didn't come with the skid (was supposed to).  Turns out, it's a pretty important piece of the puzzle.  Thanks to Bill at the PWS for rushing me one out.

When you squeeze the trigger no more blast to prepare for from the residual pressure.

Awesome. I've got one on order.  Hopefully it'll work with my washer. Envirospec has them on sale for $70. http://www.envirospec.com/ecatalog/Unloaders.htm
