They are beige gutters with fade marks, or oxidation, or something.

its hard to see in the photos but the top photo looks like the typicsl dirty gutter.... is that a power washer mark?

the white spot on the bottom of the leader is strange to me. almost looks painted

The gutter looks like wand marks. Sometimes gutter parts are replaced and are painted over

those are wand marks definitely from a previous cleaning.mthe gutters also look chalky,mask the paint pigment is failing and oxidizing. The lighter part of the downspout near the bottom coukd be from salt thrown on the sidewalk during ice or snow. We see this in the North sometimes.

just let them know that a cleaning won't fix this.

I handle that as:

If the paint will handle it,..I will be able to tie them together. I assure the customer that I will do the best I can do to get them looking good,.but I can only work with what the material gives me.

That will suffice just about any customer.

We undersell all gutter cleaning and that way 99% of the time the customer is amazed at the difference.

Like Jeff mentioned we cannot put back what has been blown off by others or oxidised off.

I love cleaning gutters and consider it the new coat of paint on the trim in a room that the walls are repainted.

I hate gutter cleaning and consider it a royal pain

Love hate relationship for sure.

But customers will truly love you when you improve the gutter appearance not doubt about it
