I've heard some people use Purple Power for that. From the photo, that just looks like algae on that gutter. How does it do on the tiger stripes?

We use purple power for gutters here as well as another product. Both do well for us. It depends on outside temperature in most cases to properly remove strips

I'm using Red Raider now and it works well. They say it works in any temp, but I don't think anything works fast below 60 degrees.

Hey Bryan,..Purple Power is a staple cleaner for striped gutters,..it works very well and can be cut in half, or even thirds during the warmer months. I have used it for years and have no reason to change,...it works so well and is very cost effective.
The deal on the 2 1/2 jug mentioned above isn't bad at all.

60 buckets, wow! Thanks for the coupon code, im definitely going to pick some of this stuff up and give it a try. What do you guys do, dunk a brush in a bucket of it and scrub?

Anything to keep in mind when using it? Like should it not sit too long on the gutters, or not get on a certain type of surface or anything?

Number one priority when doing gutter brightening is never let it dry on the finish. An ounce of prevention is worth... Prewet plant material and surfaces that you not cleaning.

Hey Jason,..EVERY cleaner I've ever used works better when sprayed on. Dipping a brush may work also,..but in my experience when you get the soap worked up and bubbly through a sprayer,..it seems to get the cleaning agents in gear so to speak. It also clings better,..and less arm work.

Gutters are very different,..it takes time to learn to evaluate by just looking,.and they can still throw you a curve ball. Different paint finishes I think.

Just go weak on product until you get a feel for where your'e at with it. very temperature sensitive ,..a few degrees can make the difference between removing streaks and removing paint. I think this is the case with most gutter cleaner that contain butyl. I never had luck with the products that don't contain butyl,..some guys do though and has been discussed in length over the years. I figure it must be regional for some reason.

I have some gutters tomorrow i am going to try purple power on. Dont really have a way to spray it right now, so i guess i will dunk the brush in a half PP half water bucket, and scrub them a little. Will do a small test spot first, and they arent terribly dirty. Is half and half safe enough to start with, or should i dilute it more?

I usually dunk a brush. It works fine but it's hard work since you have to prewet, dunk, wipe it on, dunk, wipe it off, rinse. Tires your arms quicker (well...tires my 19 y.o. helper's arms quicker. haha). I can't comment on Purple power though. Never used it.

Hey Jason,..no,...DS'ing PP doesn't work,..just beaks the percentage down below a suitable level. As far as dunking vs spraying,...as Bryan mentioned,..it will work dunking,..but not as good nor as easily as spraying. I doubt you can DS anything and clean stripes from gutters.

Aside from the fact that I personally think all cleaners work better when sprayed on,.there is also alot more arm work in the application,...so much easier to spray and let dwell,..then brush and rinse.

Rig yourself up a 12V sprayer in some fashion that works for you. But,.pump sprayers will work as well,..just more work and more refills.

Thanks Jeff. Took some purple power to my first job for the gutters, but they cleaned up with just the house mix. Next job, though, the gutters didn't come clean, so i used some PP and a brush and they came out great.
