Anyone using "Slo-Mo" from Lori @ PWP? I recently received a 5 but the darn weather isn't letting up enough to get cranking so haven't had the opportunity to get a trial run in. We previously were using "Roof Snot" and liked, also have used Gain, but just haven't really ran thru the different surfactants to choose a favorite. Having to only use 8oz of Slo-Mo per 100 was a huge selling point for me plus it is cheaper than the "snot". If only the shipping charges could be somehow reduced, $28.00 just to ship a 5'er is ridiculous and that's across the board no matter where you purchase as I am confident everyone knows....doh

I quit using the expensive stuff with crazy shipping. I mix Gain & Arm & Hammer. No Shipping. If the guys need more surfactant it's cheap!

Give it a try, and then do a cost analysis as compared to whatever you're currently using.  That's where you'll find your answer.

It's more cost effective for us, and there is no more lugging the other stuff around, nor need to go to the store.  Until someone can show me something that offers more bang for the buck, for the first time ever, I'm using a 'commercial surfactant' that I'm having shipped in.

With the proportioner, i've found that soap lasts forever...I go weeks it seems on five gallons. And now that I've rigged my proportioner to accept multiple soaps I think it'll last even longer.

Exactly Bryan! What a difference! We have two 5 gallon jugs I posted previously. We choose between them for roof and house wash... and many other things to clean. Cheap local soap lats a long time and no need to experiment with surfactants. Cost effective is local!

I read that if you leave the cap off it actually thickens, and evaporates allowing you to use less?

For the sake of answering this,...the reality of it is a moot point.  See if I can explain this.

You  may be able to use less per use,..but you are also starting out with less total product after evaporation,..SO,..the use percentage all equals out in the end.  Get it?

Did I explain it clearly?

yes I understand that, it all equallys out in the end. I was only concerned about using to much, Lori stated it can be a bear to rinse.

Eric Are you using Dragon Grip as your house wash too? I did not really appreciate Dragon Grip until late in the season last year. We had two 5 gallons sitting in the shop and decided to give it another try. It really does hold well. I was surprised how well the shingles looked after they dried even on the same day. They seem to be brighter in appearance, even though the dead bacteria etc have not been rained off yet.

I have not used it for other purposes yet.

Liberty, Do you get any residuals from sales of dragon grip? I see they have 2 of your video's on their website endorsing it. (LOL) Great exposure and great video's! Actually all of your video's are really nice, what a great way to get your name all over the continent. The dragon grip's pricing is very reasonable especially considering they offer free shipping with. Quick question: How difficult is it to dial in the PP?
