Thank you Blue Ridge Exterior Cleaning

Hello folks,

I'm just taking a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude to Blue Ridge Exterior Cleaning and Brett Thompson. Last week I came down to Virginia from Maine to job shadow the soft washing business for a week. My brother Greg works running a crew for Brett. During my time down there, Brett allowed me to work with the crew. He had a line up of a little bit of everything. We started with a commercial job and we finished the week with residential work that consisted of a roof, house washes, sidewalks, retaining walls, awnings and two decks. The knowledge that Brett and the crew were willing to share with me was invaluable and I feel as though I got a lot from it with so much more to learn! This leads me to the National Softwash Alliance forum which Brett has strongly directed me towards by saying, "There are a bunch of good guys here, willing to help as they have helped me". I'm humbled by the shear willingness to help other in this close knit group and hope to be a better part of it. I'm not a very computer savvy guy and I don't ask for help very often. Although as I grow, learn and make this thing happen, maybe eventually I can pass on a trick or two. Pay it forward as they say. So thank you Brett Thompson and the others who have welcomed me to this forum with the few posts I've made.

Sincerely,

Tayib Helms

Thanks Tabe, it was good to have you here. Good luck on getting things going.

The pictures are the best. It was a drizzle and the only job I was on that week. On the ground Tabe is observing bagging gutters then heading on the roof to learn how to clean it.

I bought two of those ladders......sorry Brett, they suck. Tooooo short for the houses around here. Bring your truck when you come and I'll load'em up!

You don't have to be sorry Doug but they DO NOT SUCK! Many places that ladder works well. A single story home or accessing a roof above a porch. We all have our own way that works for us.

Tooooo short? Hell, they go from 6' - 16'. Much better than a step ladder which we do not carry.

When I was roofing I always carried a 20 and a 28. For soft washing I bought a 16 and a 28. I HATE the 16. Too short. As soon as I can replace it I will. What's the extended length of the 3 piece ladder since there are two overlap sections.

I carry a 20' and a 24' Mostly use the 20" and put the 32' or 36 on when needed.

We carry a 20', 26' and a 36'. The 3 section ladder has helped in many places. Porches are interesting and can be difficult in many ways. This ladder helps to get to the gutter or to the roof above.

In addition to our long extension ladders, we carry a short 16' extension. Being so light, one individual can easily carry it around and it makes one story ranches easier to clean.
