Doug told me to check out Kleen-Rite for booster pumps. I did one comparison with Grainger and it was a $200.00 savings for the exact same pump! They have many different products and equipment we use and fast shipping from PA.

Thanks for the heads up. Does anyone know if this is a good pump? I've seen people recommend 1hp Goulds, and dont know if there are different models or anything.

Jason. thats a great pump and great price. I have switched out to the 5GBS1014S4, which are totally encloses and fan cooled. they can handle being sprayed down with water without fear of a short., but they are more $$$$

Ray, do you know the model # for the 3/4HP? Is the 1HP a huge difference?

Ray, could you post what pumps are good and what are junk? I know you have been through a few so you have a better understanding of the pumps than most of us do.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the two, both 1 hp but this one is $482.00 from Kleen-Rite.

I have found the 3/4 hp boosters do a fine job and don't need such a large generator.

Thanks Ray!

Differences i see between those two are the 5GB has a stainless steel head and has 17 stages (whatever that means), while the 10GB has a cast iron head and 10 stages.

However, the biggest difference i see is that the one Ray recommended is 5 GPM, while the other is 10 GPM (the Kleen-Rite title says 16 GPM, but i think thats a mistake). Ray, besides being enclosed, what makes you choose 5GPM over 10 GPM?

Been using this for 3 years for rinsing. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/countyline-stainless-steel-transfer-utility-pump-1-hp
I do a lot of rinsing cleaning shake roofs and they hold up real well.
I use 250' of 1/2" rinse hose, mean green, and pushes fine.

The boosters we are talking about are for application with high gpm and pressure. A totally different animal than the booster pump from TS.
