For the last few years I have applied with my fatboy and rinsed with a PW

 Last year I applied with My all floand rinsed with PW. This year we will be DS with a new 5gpm PW and then I will know what works best for us. The only think I don't like about DS is that the ground guy doesn't have much to do. When applying with the all flow the ground guy had something to do and rinsed. But what appeals to me about DS is the easy of mixing. I don't have room for additional house wash tank.

I think selling the soft was for the siding is a great idea and normally I would just stay to the 12vor all flo , but until homeowners catch on, time is money. I don't compete against PW for roofs here in NH but I do compete with them on house washing and customers still want the best price. To be honest I don't want to house wash at all, I would rather just do roof cleaning. There at 2 PW company's in my town that try yo out bid each other on every job. These 2 company's run spring specials of $149.00 for house washes. 

Brian, you can sell soft washing with a pressure washer,...there's no need to mention you'll be using a pressure washer. I like the the simple term "house washing",...With DS'ing you can apply low pressure and rinse low pressure.
Over the last few years the term soft washing has been taken too far I think,..especially by the roof cleaning guys who don't own a pressure washer at all. .A pressure washer is way more versatile than a low pressure "softwash" pump. The only advantage a dedicated softwash pump has over a pressure washer is it can apply a strong solution. Which is needed on roofs, some concrete and a few other applications. There isn't any advantage though on a typical house wash,..aside from personal stuff like noise. A pressure washer at 5-8 GPM and being pushed at 400-800 PSI will out rinse a softwash pump all day long.

*Remember 400-800 PSI at the tip,..not what's hitting the siding.

Brian, I use Hi-Draw injectors that Bob sells. I use two different ones,...I use the 5-8 GPM mostly,..but I will use he 3-5 GPM if I'm using 200' of hose,...the smaller GPM injector will pull soap better with longer hoses. I always rinse the injector with water when I'm done for the day,..soap left over in the injector will "eat" at it,..and also makes the check ball stick,...in fact after they get some use on them and the finish wears off the ball ,..they stick anyhow,Ha,Ha,...So I got in the habit of pulling the DS'er hose off the injector and using something skinny,.. like a very small screw driver and poking the ball free before I even start for the day.

I typically get a season out of one injector, then get a new one,...but I have noticed sometimes near the end of a season they start to pull less soap. But they're cheap,.so even if you use 2-3 a year no big deal.

I think I may try an injector with a ceramic ball this year.

 

By the way, they are on sale at PressureTek right now for $13.67.  But they do have a $30.00 minimum order,..not bad though if you're putting in an order,..doesn't take long to add up,...unfortunately.

Bob is awesome and I order almost everything from Bob. However I did not buy my new PW from Bob. I found a local company here in NH that is almost as good as Bob but also has a large service Dept.

come on down to florida... you'll frequently see $149...$99...or even $79. and that even includes driveways!
