I've been starting to get caught up on my reading here lately and don't want to be one of those rectums who just takes and never gives. I have two ideas that I am working on and will share them with y'all, hopefully they are good. If not, feel free to make sport of them, I ain't sensitive.
My first one is simple. The easiest way to score working on another business owner's facility is noticing that they have a dirty sign or entrance way. Offer them a reasonable price to clean it. As you provide your stellar results at a reasonable price, establish a rapport with them, look for other dirty aspects of their facility and get referrals. Simple, and starting to become effective ever since all of the Christmas decorations were removed from moldy signs.
Number twice is residential. I am a super low-tech 20th Century guy. However, even I know that most neighborhoods have a social media platform of some sort. My first attempt was FUBAR because I jumped the gun. Long story short, clean a house or roof, THEN ask for referrals and don't bring up group pricing. Yep, shot myself in the foot because I wasn't sure how to handle the situation. The next time at bat I washed the house and thrilled the customer. THEN I asked for a social media referral and offered to share B&A's of her home. This customer had already asked for extra cards and told two of her neighbors about me, but I think the social media post will garner more work. So I got that going for me. Which is good.
