Reccomended fuse size?

purchased a 2gpm Delavan pump

rated at 8amps max.

Usually I purchased prewired and my 7gpm fatboy is rated for abt 26amps max but was prewired with 30amp fuse.

Should I wire inline a 10amp fuse or other?

Thanks Art, will add to the DFD to do lists
(Deep Freeze Days)

I'm assuming same solenoid will work for any size pump? and is it plug n play or needs adjustment?

regarding the 2gpm pump

I sent an inquiry question to PTek but havent heard back yet.

anyone know best MEG tip size for 2gpm that will give best distance and no pulsating without a bladder?

using a 0040 but too big of an opening.
tested a 0015 and red zero pw tip and pulsated like crazy. I'm guessing 0030, poss 0020?

TIA!

Somehow I missed this... I have only used a pump that small for applying on decks for stripping. We use 30's without any problem. I have no clue what kind of distance you will get since we tend to spray with 15 & 25 when spraying decks.

It's for use as a chemical pump for controlled spraying, small jobs, or in this case, we are working off scaffolding since theres a lot of carpentry repair, pointing, some slate tiles replaced.

theres 5 buildings on this property so this is easier to lug around.

On this subject,..I built an aluminum hand truck sprayer for this past season,...I posted pictures of my original one a few years ago,....reason for mentioning is I also used 2 GPM pumps with 50' of 3/8" Tundra Air hose,..(Very Flexible) Also used FlexZilla as experiment. Anyhow,..I started using 1 GPM pumps,..with little to no loss in needed performance,..and uses less material,...I use my sprayer for gutters 80% of the time,.so to much chemical and it just runs off. But still works plenty good for when I need to use it on composite decks etc,...

I also experimented with those cheap "Surgeflo" pumps you see on ebay,...the last about 2 months with little to no issues,...I usually replace due to simply being proactive,....and are only about $20. I l also use these in the hand held spot sprayers also,... I rinse them out after each individual use,..only takes second or two and I only replaced each one of those pumps one time over the whole season,...rinsing means everything. I have to of the hand held sprayers,..one for 12.5% and one for acid (Aluminum Brightener with HF)

Oh,..and I don't fuse anything,..and have yet to have n issue,...I know,..I'm lucky, Ha, Ha,...

Here's a quick picture of the sprayer,...very nice for filling the void where DS'ing isn't enough,..but roof rig is over kill,...and an awesome maid cart,..holds two brushes upright,..has a hanger for  the PW trigger,..a 12" extension holder for when I use the rotating nozzle,..which is also on board,...and a 5 gallon bucket sits on the cart,..usually gutter cleaner,..but was used for many different jobs this past season.  It rides on the trailer held down by toggle clamps,....the toggle clamps go through the bucket cradle. The hand truck tray sits on a bracket that is out of the picture,..and it  takes all the weight,..the clamps just keep it in place.

looks great Jeff!
good to see you around again.

my setup was a quickie but also temporary till I build it right. Thinking of a motorcycle battery or Li Ion made for deep cycle (theres plenty options out there now).
If I go that route I may have a 20lbs hand held unit

Hey Maverick,..nothing wrong with a 20 lb. hand held,...that's what my hand helds weigh with a full gallon of cleaner. They are used sparingly so no big deal. The more I used mine the last few years I realize the convenience. I have them and also the hand truck sprayer plugged into the van,..and never have to manually charge them,..they are always charging while the van is running.
