Door frame oxidation from sh

We soft washed this building yesterday and after rinsing the door frames and window frames turned out looking like this.

Can anyone tell me why?

My guess is failing paint? If it was simply applied and rinsed,..it should not have hurt it at all,...but with failing paint,..all bets are off with any chemical. If you rub your finger on it,..does that discoloring rub off?

If I wet my finger it goes back to black. But when it drys again it turns back to the oxidized color even after scrubbing it

Worst you'll have to do is repaint. But,.I believe failing paint is the issue. We all wash all sorts of painted things with SH/Soap solution without issue,...including aluminum soffit and fascia,..aluminum siding,..steel siding,..etc...

In short,..wasn't anything you did wrong,..weird reactions just happen sometimes. One of things you can watch for next time and explain the possible results.

Ty sir. We just picked up this contract and was hoping it would be an easy fix. I will explain it to the GM.
It's just weird because its only at the tops of the doors and windows the bottom seems fine. Well there is some bottoms affected but nothing like the tops.

We had problems with aluminum frames on windows turning color a few times. One Restore brought them back and no sign of discoloration. It doesn't take much when you dilute it. Start with something as low as 10 (water) - 1 (One Restore) and up it as needed. It might take some brushing as well. Do a test spot.

Is this anodized aluminum? That stuff can do funky stuff at times, depending the age.
