My friends said.

Hey man. Trump is sending everyone $. We can through one heck of a party after this is all over with.

I said. I dont think so, if Trump sends me money I'm going to buy something that's going to feed me and my family for the next 10 years lol.

Soo here it is best 3500.00 I ever spent.

Always wanted an 8 gallon a minute machine. Now I have one.

I am looking forward to getting one of those myself! Expect, it'll probably be on a skid.

Have you priced skids? I hope you have plenty of work and a fork lift!

I would not recommend a skid unless you have a fork lift or a heated garage to store the truck in.

If I end up getting one, it’ll most likely be from Pressure Works in Richmond, Virginia. Those guys have an awesome pressure washing store down there and I’d have them put it in the back of my 6x12 enclosed trailer. I’m a firm believer in having the best equipment for your business and to answer your question Brett, I have looked at prices for a skid and they aren’t cheap! 😆

I’m willing to spend 6-8k for a good skid and it’ll have to be an 8 gpm machine. I won’t spend that kind of money on anything less than 8 gpm.

Here’s a picture of my truck and trailer(the name will be getting changed this week). Again, I have been doing this for a while with my painting business so I’m not coming into the game a newbie by any means, but I won’t get one until I need to. My two cold water machines get the job done just fine.

The push to get 8 & 10 gpm machines is what everyone thinks they want/need. We are in the same area for the most part Shaun. We do a lot of rural work, at least 60%, with wells. Then there are the older towns with low gpm from the hose bib. We have a few homes every year where water is an issue. We just had it happen near Crozet last week and had to return the next day to finish. With 200 gal buffer tanks, running the booster and 5.5 & 6.5 gpm machines, I can only imagine how many more homes we would run out of water. Certainly your call but we will never move up to 8 gpm unless that truck could be commercial only.

One of our founding members, Hank Timmerman who died suddenly last year, would have chimed in if he was still with us because he would not go to a higher gpm either due to all of his rural work in the Poconos. We had many discussions about this and had many of the same issues. Running out of water can be expensive!

I'll Never ruse anything less than 8GPM again....have been back and forth myself over the 5 vs 8 but for the type of cleaning we do and the fact we rarely have water issues....we use only 8 and 10GPM's and AODD pumps....Bretts right...if I had to wait around for water I'd never go higher than 5 or 6...that is so frustrating.

Brett,

You make a very valid point my friend. Especially in our area.

Honestly, I’m more interested in doing commercial jobs and larger homes versus hopping to and fro on smaller residential homes. I have been debating on the market I wanted to target and I am definitely going to give tapping into the commercial side a shot so the larger machines are obviously what I’d need in that instance.

I have an s-10 with a ladder rack(my first work truck) that I am contemplating turning into a residential cleaning truck. This would take my current 4 gpm and maybe 5 gpm belt drive machines and allow two guys to drive around and knock small jobs out when we get them and leave me and another guy to use the enclosed trailer for large jobs.

The above is totally dependent on the volume of work of course, but definitely the next step when I do add the skid to the business.

One last thing... I saw some guys from Northern Virginia cleaning in our area(like 3 trucks behind each other on 29) and it burned me up lol... I hated the fact that guys were being called out of town to do jobs on our home turf. I believe that’s because we don’t have a large outfit here in town, but I intend on changing that. More on this when we finally get a chance to meet up.

Thanks for commenting, Doug. I have looked into your cleaning school/courses, but haven’t pulled the trigger, yet. Do you think we could chat about it sometime in the future?

Thanks guys
